Management Team:
Stephen M Haglund – President
Steve has over twenty years experience in strategy, business development, marketing, operations and practice development in the information technology and oil & gas industries. Most recently at Perficient, a public, IT services consultancy, he was General Manager of one of the largest national business integration practices. Prior to that, Steve co-founded and served as President of Insolexen – a business integration services company and Michigan Fast50 Award winner – which was acquired by Perficient. Previous to that, he was a manager with Anderson Consulting (now Accenture) in the San Francisco office as well served in various capacities with webMethods, Baker-Hughes, and FMC. Steve graduated from the University of Illinois with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and holds an MBA with Honors from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University.
Tom Harper – VP of Sales
Before joining NeoFirma, Tom spent 18 years in the wireless communications industry. During those years he held various positions in sales leadership, engineering and business development. At Hutton Communications, one of the largest multi-line, value added distributors in wireless, he helped form what became the largest revenue producing business unit within the company. In his most recent position at Hutton, he helped negotiate and secure a contract to provide product integration and logistics services for wireless carriers such as Clearwire, Sprint, AT&T, and Cricket Communications. Tom has also designed and deployed wireless communications and metering systems for Devon Energy, Chesapeake, XTO and EOG.
George Michael – VP of Marketing
George began his career with Amoco Corporation. He founded Michael & Partners, a public relations agency, in 1998. The agency grew to be among the top ten in D/FW before he sold it to the employees in 2004. Before that, George started MBRK in 1983, also growing that agency to be among the top ten in D/FW advertising. Prior to MBRK, he held the position of General Manager at Temerlin-McClain (then Bozell & Jacobs and the largest agency in the Southwest.) He holds a Ph.D. and MBA in Marketing, and a BSME, all from Northwestern University.
Jason Gray – VP of Product Development
Jason has over 15 years of architecting and developing software development as well as running development teams and project management. Previous to NeoFirma, Jason founded Gray Innovations, an IT consulting firm specializing in Microsoft technologies with clients in engineering, financial, marketing, logistics, government, gaming and retail industries. At Gray, he developed innovative web based and e-commerce applications using technologies like ASP.NET, Ajax, JQuery, Silverlight and WCF as well as desktop application in WPF. Prior to starting his own firm, Gray has held both leadership and senior development roles with USAA, Centex, and Daymon World Wide. Jason is also a 12 year veteran of the US Navy, and received a BBA in Information and Operations Management from Texas A&M.
Robert Hafer – VP of Client Services
Bob joined Neofirma in 2003 and has 35 years experience in the financial services and oil & gas industries. Formerly, Bob was the Managing Director at Bridge Commodity Research Bureau and spokesman for the Commodity Research Bureau where he frequently appeared on CNBC, CNN and the Nightly Business Report. He was regularly quoted in the Wall Street Journal, Investor’s Business Daily and other financial publications. Bob earned industry experience at E.F. Hutton and Prudential-Bache Securities after starting his career on the trading floor of the Chicago Board of Trade with Bache, Halsey, Stewart and Shields. He attended the University of Notre Dame, majoring in Marketing at the Mendoza College of Business.
